1.Who we are

2.What we collect

When you book, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the service address, any notes you add for the driver, and the dates you booked. When you sign the rental agreement we also record the date and time and the version of the terms you signed. If you send a project inquiry instead of booking, we collect what you type into that form. We don't collect anything else, and we don't ask for information we don't need to do the job.

3.Payment information

Card payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own hosted checkout page. Your card number never touches this site and we never see or store it. We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded and a reference to the transaction.

4.SMS messaging

If you check the SMS box at checkout, you're consenting to receive text messages from Yak Dumpsters about your rental — confirmations, drop-off and pickup updates, and anything we need to reach you about on the day. Consent is optional and is not a condition of booking or of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.

5.We do not share or sell your personal information

Yak LLC does not share or sell consumer personal information (including phone numbers) to third parties or affiliates for marketing or lead generation purposes.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted.

6.Who else touches your information

We use a small number of service providers to run the business: Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for hosting and the booking database, Resend for transactional email, Zoom for phone and text messaging, and Google Maps for address lookup when you type your service address. Each of them only receives what it needs to perform its function. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

7.Analytics and advertising

Some pages on this site include the Meta (Facebook) pixel, which tells us when someone reaches the site or completes a booking after seeing one of our ads. It sets cookies in your browser and reports activity back to Meta. You can limit this through your browser's cookie settings or through your Meta ad preferences. We don't send Meta your name, phone number, email address or service address.

8.How long we keep it

We keep booking records, including the signed rental agreement, for as long as we may need them for tax, accounting or dispute purposes — generally several years. SMS consent records are kept for as long as you're opted in, and afterwards as proof that consent was given and later withdrawn.

9.Your choices

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by calling (704) 702-6111 or emailing [email protected]. We may need to keep booking and payment records where the law requires it, and we'll tell you if that's the case.

10.Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

11.Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we handle SMS consent will be reflected here before they take effect.
